CyberArmy Projects

[Completed Projects]

The Projects System
[-]

The Projects system is a new way of managing tasks and activities going on in and around CyberArmy. Projects are very different from brigades, they are much more open, flexible and single-task orientated groups. Any member of the CyberArmy, regardless of rank or privilege can commission a project, the only current pre-requisite is that the C/O of a Brigade or Sub-brigade in CyberArmy agrees to 'host' the project (acting as the parent) to oversee it and deal with any administrative duties.

There is no limit to the number of projects you can join or lead, the idea is that they are as open and free to participate in as possible, once you've shown an interest. If you can't find a project thats right for you or you've got an idea that doesn't fit any category/brigade, please let us know via Feedback.

    • Academy Projects Academy Projects is the umbrella group for every aspect of CyberArmy Academy. While you can write articles and tutorials as a member of CyberArmy in any brigade, if you are interested in specifically writing articles and tutorials, or creating audio and video tutorials, Academy Projects is the project for you. We do have some particular requirements, however: for article and tutorial writers in English, obviously an excellent grasp of English is necessary, though we do have some resources available for improving your writing. For audio and video tutorials in English, a clear speaking voice in English is essential if you want to record, but not if you want to simply write a script for a tutorial. However, we also have a related project, the Foreign Language Institute, for those of you who want to translate articles and tutorials into languages other than English, and the Library is Unicode-enabled to accept original articles in languages other than English.
    • Foreign Language Institute The Foreign Language Institute (FLI) is in charge of translating the Academy's classes (class logs), tutorials and other written material into a variety of languages. This way people who's mother tongue is not English can still learn from what the Academy produces. To join this project, you must have a good knowledge of the English language and of a second ('foreign') language. If you are interested in joining this group or want more information about the language skills involved, please get in touch with the project leader.
